Mr Yakubu Karagama is highly experienced, qualified and caring Ear, Nose and Throat Consultant at Manchester University Hospital Department of Otolaryngology. He leads the multidisciplinary specialist voice clinic at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Mr Karagama specialises in general adult and children Ear, Nose and Throat problems but in addition he has a special interest in professional voice problems and nasal and sinus problems.

He is very experienced ENT Surgeon with high international professional recognition due to his role in lecturing and training young surgeons. He has been invited as key note speaker internationally on so many occasions.

He is a frontier in promoting and developing new surgical techniques to help patients.

He is the founder and course director for Manchester Phonosurgery, is keen in voice research and obtained a MSc in Advance Voice Research at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 2005. Mr Karagama has presented his research and won pries at national and international conferences, including the North of England Otolaryngological Society, the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Association Conference of Otolaryngologists (BACO). He has authored and co-authored over 50 publications, is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at both University of Manchester and Edge Hill Universities and the Secretary of the British Laryngological Association and an Honorary Fellow at the Royal Northern College of Music Manchester. He was the first Secretary of the British Laryngological Society established in 2011-2015.
