Mr Wiqqas Jamil is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in all aspects of knee surgery and also primary hip replacement. He studied medicine at the University of Leeds and completed his higher surgical training with the NorthWest Orthopaedic training programme. 

Additional to his training in the North West, Mr Jamil has completed regional, national and international fellowships for his specialisation in knee surgery. He received the British Orthopaedic Foundation Travelling Fellowship for his international work. 

Mr Jamil is constantly involved in research and has presented his work in numerous publications and meetings internationally. He has published academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and is an Advance Trauma Life Support instructor and University PBL tutor. 

Mr Jamil practises at The Alexandra Hospital and The Wilmslow Hospital in Cheshire and The Highfield Hospital in Lancashire. Mr Jamil takes pride in his high standards of surgery and has a special interest in accelerated recovery after hip and knee surgery.
