Mr Talaat Al-Atassi is a Consultant, specialising in Orthopaedic Surgery and focusses mainly on shoulder, upper limb and trauma conditions. He currently works for the Salford Royal Foundation NHS Trust, and also as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester.

Mr Al-Atassi qualified from Medicine in 1991 from the University of Damascus. He then completed basic and higher surgical training, as well as numerous fellowships in Trauma and Shoulder Surgery. His practice treats a broad range of upper limb conditions, including shoulder instability, frozen shoulder, tennis and golfer's elbow, trauma and rotator cuff tears. He is highly experienced in treating these conditions through arthroscopic surgery, shoulder replacement, peripheral nerve decompression and fracture fixation.
