Biography

I trained in London, based at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. I worked in the Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit and Congenital Hand Surgery Reconstruction Unit at the RNOH. I also worked in spinal surgery at the Spinal and Low Back Pain Unit at the RNOH and at Great Ormond Street Hospital. I have been a consultant in orthopaedic and trauma surgery since 2002, specialising in all aspects of hand surgery including nerve releases/repairs, nerve transpositions, joint replacements, reconstructions of all joints in the wrist and hand, tendon repairs/reconstructions and transfers, tumour excisions, and hand and wrist fracture fixations. My spinal interest is low back pain and sciatica, and my surgery procedures include discectomies and lumbar decompressions and stabilisation. I also carry out caudal epidurals, nerve blocks/nerve root and facet joint injections for pain management. I continue to maintain a general orthopaedic practice for lower limb procedures, including performing regular hip and knee replacements and knee arthroscopies, meniscectomies and ligament reconstructions, and foot procedures including hallux valgus correction, metatarsal osteotomies and bunionectomies, toe straightening and fusion, and Mortons neuromas excision.
