Dr Kingshuk Majumder underwent specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India and the United Kingdom. He was awarded the Membership of the Royal College (MRCOG) in 2001 and certificate of completion of specialist training in the UK in 2008. He trained in Reproductive Medicine and surgery at the University hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire and Central Manchester University Hospitals.
Dr Majumder completed a fellowship in advanced minimal access (laparoscopic) surgery at the King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth, Australia. He has been a consultant Gynaecologist since 2010 and based at the St Mary's Hospital, Manchester since October 2011. He has clinical and research interests in endometriosis, pelvic pain and Reproductive Medicine and surgery. He is part of the North West pelvic pain and endometriosis centre at St Mary's Hospital, Manchester.
Dr Majumder's surgical expertise includes advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. He is interested in teaching and training and is an educational supervisor and appraiser.
He is married with 2 children. His interests outside medicine include learning about different cultures, international affairs, history, travelling and photography. -
